If I have a photo etch set for Tamiya Spitfire Mk.1, would it also work as well on a Revell or Airfix Spitfire Mk.1?

It might work ... photo-etched kits are designed for a specific model! In some cases, however, the casting may be different from brand to brand and does not accept parts of the photo etched without modification.
