I really enjoyed Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Twilight Saga, Chronicles of Narnia, but also enjoy murder mysteries such as Brenda Novak's "The Last Stand" Trilogy, and such.

Judging by your taste, you should definitely read the His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman. I've read all the same books as you, and this series is very similar. The Northern Lights, then The Subtle Knife then The Amber Spyglass. They're fantasy/adventure
