Q: power of my PC says it provides DC-12V 14A. Can I use this power without tuning? I know I can combine all the yellow (-12V) and black (ground) cords together to make this possible.

OK, first, I will assume the outputs are DC not AC to make computations simple. In a DC circuit, power in watts is determined by multiplying current by voltage. In a 12 volt circuit with a current of 1 ampere results in 12 watts of power being delivered

If the 5VDC voltage regulator is used, can it limit the current to low?
The 12VDC 5.8A voltage supply will cause the 5VDC voltage regulator heat and burn? If yes, how to solve it?
