Good first high gas-mileage car?
I am looking for my first car today and since gas prices will increase rapidly, the first cars have high gas mileage. Note since this is my first car, I will not be able to pay, such as hybrids or something like that.

Why do Americans refuse to reduce gas use? Should car companies be forced to produce higher mileage cars?
I think we need higher gas taxes until Americans quit using so much.
American's don't *refuse* to reduce gas.
