In the year 2008, over one hundred years since the age of the automobile, and the best automatic manufactureers can go out with the Toyota Prius, which averages less than 50 MPG. Is it just me, or does something seem wrong here??

- $20,000 or less
- 2007 or higher
- midsize sedan
- 4 cylinder
- manual transmission
- good gas mileage
you can't go wrong with a camry or accord. had an accord before and it was the easiest car to own - put on 120k miles and never seen a repair shop before other than regular scheduled maintenance with many more miles to go, very good gas mileage. just

Cars have been trending to be larger in size over the years. Add in more pollution/emission controls, and more standard safety features, and the weight also goes up... smaller cars = lighter weight, so typically better MPG.
