is the Chicco UltraSoft Front Infant Carrier good for overweight women?

Q: I was just wondering. I'm picking one up for my mother. It will be much easier for her to watch the new baby with. I take place today and I wanted to know if it would fit a larger woman ... not huge but I do not want to lose my money.

A: Most carriers are adjustable before. My husband has a great hockey player build and still has tons of room to spare before our carrier. Its fairly simple to adjust what we can go back and forth with ours.

Is she too big for an infant carrier/sling?

I have an almost 4 month old baby girl and I want to get a new front carrier. I have the chicco front carrier but it's so uncomfortable for me and seems to be for her also. Is she too big for me to think about buying a new one? How old were your babys


Not at all, I still carry my 21 month old from time to time in our ring sling (maya) or Ergo. I recommend the Ergo, beco butterfly or similar style buckle type soft carrier that disperses the weight on your waist as well. The Chicco style is really

Slings (padded/not padded) or Bjorn Carrier? Based on your experience, what's the pro & cons of each?

As baby shower gifts, I was very fortunate to receive two slings (one with paddings, the other without), one Chicco carrier (front only, for up to 10kg/22lbs), and one Baby Bjorn carrier (can be used in front and back, for up to 12 kg).

I like my baby bjorn- its a front carrier and i can have him face me or face out- i think it works well- but my boy is 13 lbs and all the carriers feel heavy - supposed to b able to use it until like 25 lbs- when my first girl was older i got the hip
