What is the difference between elements in axial compression and flexural compression? Steel Design context.?
[2010-10-09 17:49:11]

In the Steel Hand book, 2010 edition, pages 1-126 and 1-127 have two charts for maximum width-to-depth ratios. Page 1-126 pertains to elements in axial compression and Page 1-127 deals with elements in flexural compression. What is the difference?

Axial refers to force along the length of the steel beam.
Flexural refers to force at right angles to the length of the beam.

Cross a plant that is heterozygous for axial flower with a plant that has terminal flowers?
[2008-05-29 09:23:27]

Genotypic ratio

Phenotypic ratio

The allele for axial flowers is dominant to terminal so we shall give the alleles the following letters:

Allele for axial: A
Allele for terminal: a

One plant is heterozygous, which means it has the genotype Aa.
